CMT: Thoracic Facet Dysfunction

50.00

In this presentation, we look at mid and upper back pain arising from dysfunctional locking of the Thoracic Facet joints.

The facet joints ‘open’ during spinal flexion and ‘close’ during spinal extension. In side-bending and rotation the Facet joints on one side open as the other side closes. The joint capsules of the intervertebral facets are richly enervated and contain unusually large numbers of mechanoreceptors and nociceptors. The interplay between these specialised nerve endings is critical in improving function and reducing back pain.

This presentation demonstrates key techniques for treating Multifidus, restoring Facet joint function and eliminating Thoracic back pain!
